Tutte le nomination ai Golden Globe 2024

Lunedì sono state annunciate le nomination ai Golden Globe, i premi per cinema e tv che verranno assegnati il 7 gennaio 2024: per l’ora italiana, nella notte tra il 7 e l’8. Questa edizione sarà la prima organizzata dalla fondazione no profit Golden Globe: fino all’anno scorso infatti i premi erano assegnati dalla Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), che era stata al centro di una serie di scandali che ne avevano compromesso la reputazione.

Tra i candidati come miglior film straniero c’è l’italiano Io capitano, del regista Matteo Garrone. Il film è ambientato quasi interamente in Africa e segue la storia di Seydou, un ragazzo senegalese che lascia il Senegal per cercare di raggiungere l’Italia via mare. A inizio settembre alla Mostra internazionale del cinema di Venezia Garrone era stato premiato col Leone d’argento per la miglior regia e Io capitano è anche il candidato italiano per la stessa categoria agli Oscar (dove però la rosa definitiva dei candidati non è ancora stata annunciata).
