Sean Gallup, fotografo dell’agenzia Getty Images, ha “combinato” alcune fotografie scattate alla fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale ad alcuni luoghi storici della Germania con immagini di quegli stessi luoghi scattate oggi. In particolare, molte delle foto fatte 70 anni fa mostrano le rovine di Berlino dopo i bombardamenti alleati e dopo la sconfitta dei nazisti. Altre mostrano diversi luoghi storici della Germania, come il ponte di Torgau, dove i soldati americani si incontrarono con quelli tedeschi il 26 aprile del 1945. La Seconda guerra mondiale terminò ufficialmente in Germania l’8 maggio del 1945.
