Gli spari al Museo Ebraico di Bruxelles

Un uomo armato ha sparato nel centro della capitale belga: ci sono tre morti e la polizia ha fermato un sospetto

Sabato 24 maggio c’è stato un attacco armato al Museo Ebraico di Bruxelles, in Belgio: tre persone sono state uccise, mentre una quarta è rimasta gravemente ferita. L’emittente belga RTBF ha detto che i colpi di arma da fuoco sono stati sparati sia all’interno che all’esterno del museo, a circa 50 metri dal palazzo dove si sta tenendo la Brussels Jazz Marathon. Secondo le prime ricostruzioni, l’uomo armato è arrivato al museo intorno alle 15.50 ora locale, a bordo di un’Audi: dopo avere sparato all’interno, è fuggito in auto. La polizia ha detto di avere fermato un sospetto, ma per il momento non c’è alcuna accusa formale nei suoi confronti.

Il viceprimo ministro belga, Didier Reynders, è stata una delle prime persone ad arrivare al Museo Ebraico: Reynders ha detto alla stampa di essere rimasto scioccato dalla scena che si è trovato davanti. Il sindaco di Bruxelles, Yvan Mayeur, ha confermato che tre uomini e una donna sono rimasti coinvolti in quello che ha definito essere probabilmente un “atto terroristico”. Mayeur ha anche detto: «È chiaramente un episodio estremamente serio, successo oltretutto al Museo Ebraico, e questa non è una coincidenza». L’ipotesi di un attacco anti-semita è stata citata anche dal ministro degli interni belga, Joelle Milquet. Intanto il primo ministro belga, Elio di Rupo, ha fatto le condoglianze alle famiglie delle tre persone uccise.
