Ha raggiunto i 124 centimetri e allagato un bel pezzo del centro storico

A causa della pioggia, martedì mattina l’alta marea a Venezia ha raggiunto i 124 centimetri sullo zero mareografico (cioè il livello medio del mare misurato nel 1897) ed è rimasta al di sopra dei 120 centimetri fino alle 12. Circa il 37 per cento del centro storico è stato allagato, e in particolare Piazza San Marco, con oltre 40 centimetri d’acqua che hanno costretto passanti e turisti a muoversi sulle passerelle di legno. Secondo i meteorologi la situazione sarà simile anche domani, dove la marea supererà i 120 centimetri verso le 11.
