L’agenzia fotografica Getty Images ha diffuso nuove foto delle opere d’arte rubate dai nazisti, ritrovate a Monaco nel 2011 e pubblicate sul sito gestito dal governo tedesco Lostart.de. I quadri sono stati ritrovati a casa del mercante d’arte Cornelius Gurlitt dalla polizia, che ha diffuso la notizia solo poche settimane fa perché altrimenti «le indagini sarebbero state compromesse e le opere messe a rischio». Si tratta in tutto di 1406 opere sequestrate durante la dittatura nazista a commercianti e collezionisti ebrei, per un valore stimato di oltre un miliardo di dollari. Tra le opere mostrate sul sito ci sono quadri di Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Otto Dix, Auguste Rodin, Edvard Munch.
