Domenica sera il vicepresidente degli Stati Uniti Joe Biden è arrivato a Roma per partecipare all’insediamento di papa Francesco che si terrà domani, martedì 19 marzo. Biden è un cattolico praticante, il primo cattolico a ricoprire la carica di vicepresidente americano. Oggi Biden ha incontrato il presidente della Repubblica Giorgio Napolitano e il presidente del Consiglio Mario Monti. Alle 17 incontrerà il presidente polacco Bronislaw Komoroswki, alle 18 il presidente sloveno Borut Pahor e alle 19 il presidente brasiliano Dilma Rousseff: tutti capi di stato che si trovano a Roma per l’insediamento del Papa.
