La neve in Grecia

Le temperature si sono abbassate improvvisamente lunedì causando problemi al traffico stradale e marittimo, e ai circa 20 mila senzatetto del paese

Da lunedì in molte zone della Grecia ha iniziato a nevicare. Nel nord del paese le temperature sono scese sotto lo zero e le montagne e molte coste sono ricoperte di neve. L’abbassamento della temperatura è stato improvviso e il governo sta cercando di agire in tempi brevi per aiutare i senzatetto, in particolare ad Atene, a ripararsi dal freddo: aprendo centri in cui possano passare la notte e distribuendo cibo e coperte. In Grecia ci sono circa 20 mila senza tetto, di cui 10 mila ad Atene: circa il 60 per cento lo è diventato a causa della recente crisi economica. La neve ha provocato anche problemi al traffico e martedì è stato sospeso il passaggio nello stretto del Bosforo per la scarsa visibilità
