La Germania ha battuto la Danimarca 2-1, ottenendo la terza vittoria di questi Europei e chiudendo così il suo girone al primo posto e a punteggio pieno. I tedeschi sono passati in vantaggio nel primo tempo con Podolski, i danesi hanno pareggiato con Krohn-Dehli. La partita è rimasta in equilibrio fino all’ottantesimo, quando Bender ha segnato il gol del 2-1. La Danimarca è stata eliminata dal torneo.
