Il fotografo tedesco Johannes Eisele si trova in Afghanistan da metà marzo. Il 15 aprile ha fotografato Kabul dopo l’attacco di alcuni gruppi di guerriglieri talebani contro la sede della NATO, e qualche giorno dopo ha ritratto il fotografo Massoud Hossaini nel momento in cui ha ricevuto la notizia della vittoria del Premio Pulitzer. Nelle fotografie arrivate oggi sulle agenzie ci sono i ritratti degli anziani del mercato di Kabul, una fabbrica di mattoni nella periferia della città, un uomo che sembra una statua, delle donne che passeggiano per la città e dei paesaggi.
